Time Warner Cable says WiMax is coming, this year: Even as the cableco writes down its Clearwire investment, it says it will resell the wireless broadband service sometime in 2009.
Can MIDs replace your cell phone? Since nobody’s seen a mobile Internet device (MID) in the wild yet, hard to tell. But put Truphone on an iPod Touch, and well… you may want to ditch your cell.
AT&T Bidding for Verizon’s Wireless Assets: Let’s see how the Obama administration responds to big cell providers wanting to get bigger.
More Lawsuits for AT&T and Apple Over 3G Non-performance: Of course, there may be a good reason why AT&T needs those wireless assets — since more folks are complaining that the iPhone 3G isn’t all that 3 or G.
Huawei Says It Will Join LTE Tests: Sure, why not, if it means selling more gear to operators down the line. Of course, there still needs to be a standard set, but hey — test away!
