Dorgan: Net Neutrality Bill Coming in January

Well, we told you that the new debate over network neutrality would start in earnest in 2009. According to a Reuters report today, Sen. Byron Dorgan of North Dakota isn’t going to waste any time in the new Congress with plans to introduce net neutrality legislation in January.

While Dorgan himself wasn’t a part of our original Top Ten Net Neutrality influencers list, he was behind one of the previous net neutrality legislative efforts that didn’t gain enough traction to make it past the here’s-my-idea status. Look for some serious huddling and coordination of effort before Dorgan actually puts a plan to paper in January.

We promise, we’ll have a new top 10 list out by Monday! Stay tuned!
